Lead funnel reporting

See how a defined cohort of leads progressed from new enquiry to conversion.

How it works

Understand the path taken by an enquiry cohort

Lead funnel reporting answers a specific question: how did leads created during the chosen period progress from New to Worked, Qualified and Converted? Choose an inclusive workspace-local date range and, where useful, a visible owner filter. The report counts every stage a lead reached or passed, using the current state and recorded status history. That preserves meaningful progress when a lead is later reopened or disqualified. Monthly cohorts and supported source and reason analysis help the team review the enquiry flow without exposing customer names in the aggregate report.

01

What it covers

Review reached stages, conversion pace, monthly cohorts, current sources and disqualification reasons using the recorded lead lifecycle.

02

In practice

Median pace uses the first recorded transition into a stage. When the evidence is missing, the report marks it as insufficient rather than inventing a zero-day duration. Archived and inaccessible leads are excluded before aggregation.

When to use it

Useful situations

  • Review progression for leads created during a particular quarter.
  • Compare cohort conversion pace without confusing it with current pipeline status.
  • Inspect source and disqualification patterns before changing the qualification process.

A working path

How the work moves

  1. Define the cohort

Open Lead funnel in Reports and choose a real start and end date in the workspace’s local calendar. Use an owner filter only when it serves the question, and keep the cohort period consistent when comparing results.

  2. Read stage and pace evidence

Review the reached-or-passed counts together with the recorded transition pace. A lead may appear in a reached stage even if its current status later changed. Check any insufficient-evidence label before drawing a conclusion about speed.

  3. Use the breakdown carefully

Inspect monthly rows, source conversion and disqualification reasons to choose where to investigate. Source reflects the current lead source, so avoid treating the report as an immutable marketing-attribution ledger or an arbitrary deal-stage funnel.

Illustrative scenario

Reviewing a quarter of enquiries

A sales manager selects leads created during the previous quarter. They compare qualification and conversion pace, inspect the latest disqualification reasons and then review the team’s qualification approach with the people handling those enquiries.

Before you start

What to check

  • The report covers the implemented Lead lifecycle, not multi-touch marketing attribution, retention analysis or any configurable deal-stage sequence.
  • Historical leads without structured transitions or reasons can contain less evidence. Missing history is reported rather than reconstructed.

Questions about Lead funnel reporting

Useful details before you start.

All questions
Does a disqualified lead lose its earlier stages?

No. Recorded reached stages remain part of its cohort progression while the lead remains eligible for the report.

Which records are included?

Non-archived leads created in the selected period that the viewer can currently access through Sales permissions and record visibility.
