Sound familiar?

A clean, flexible CRM for almost any business.

Customers live in five places

Names in your phone, quotes in email, notes in a spreadsheet. Nobody can see the whole picture.

Follow-ups slip

A promising enquiry goes quiet because nobody owned the next step.

You can’t see what’s coming

Without a pipeline it’s hard to tell which deals will close this month.

How it works for general business

A typical week with the General business setup. Every name below is exactly what you’ll see in the app.

  1. Enquiries arrive with the right details

Records are named the way you talk: contacts, companies and deals. Each new deal has room for next step. There are also fields for preferred contact method on contacts and customer since on companies.
  2. Deals move through your pipeline

    1. New lead
    2. Discovery
    3. Qualified
    4. Proposal sent
    5. Negotiation
Drag each deal to the next stage on the board, with its value, owner and next step in view. New ones can start from ready-made templates: “New customer enquiry” and “Renewal conversation”.
  3. Quote it and win it

Build quotes from your price list with GST worked out, send them for acceptance and keep the accepted version on the deal.
  4. Contacts ask for help

    • General questionQuestions about products, services or an existing arrangement.Low
    • ComplaintA customer is unhappy and needs a considered response.High priority
Each request gets an owner, a response target and a full history. Contacts can raise them by email or from their own portal.
  5. Reply in a click

Ready-made replies come with it: “We have your request” and “All sorted”. Each one fills in the person’s first name and can be edited before it’s sent.
    We have your requestHi Sam,

Thanks for getting in touch. We've received your request and someone will get back to you soon.
  6. Follow-ups happen on their own

    • Follow up with a new contact. Create a next-day task linked to the new contact.
    • Qualify every new lead. Create an immediate high-priority task linked to the new contact enquiry and notify the team.
A worked example

From first contact to finished work

A website enquiry arrives and lands as a New lead with its source. A follow-up task is created for the next day. After a short call it moves to Discovery, then Qualified, and the quote, built from your price list with GST worked out, moves it to Proposal sent. When the customer later writes in with a General question, it becomes a request with an owner, and a ready-made “We have your request” reply goes out in a click.

What the starting point sets up

A clear opportunity path

Review suggested stages and keep the next sales step visible.

Shared follow-up views

Start with saved views and task reminders, then adjust them to your process.

Questions about NovaSoft One for general business

Still unsure? Read every question or start free and look around.

Is the general setup a good fit if we don’t match any industry?

Yes. It uses plain names (contacts, companies, deals), a five-stage pipeline and a few useful fields. You can rename stages, add fields or switch to an industry starting point later.

Can we start on the Free plan?

Yes. Free covers two people with core CRM, pipeline and quotes. Industry starting points and automation are part of Professional.

How long does setup take?

Most teams import a customer spreadsheet and send their first quote on the first day. The starting point creates the pipeline, fields and views for you.

Can I change what the general business setup creates?

Yes. Stages, fields, record names, saved views and automations are a starting point. Rename, add or switch off anything in Customisation, and your records stay where they are.

Can I bring my existing customers across?

Yes. Import a spreadsheet of contacts, companies or leads in the Data Hub, map the columns, check the preview and commit. Possible duplicates are flagged before anything is created.

What does it cost?

Free for up to two people with the core CRM. Industry starting points come with Professional at A$39 per user per month, excluding GST, billed monthly with no lock-in.

Good to know

A practical starting point for teams whose work spans several industries. Industry starting points use NovaSoft One’s existing customer records, pipelines, tasks, saved views and custom records, and are included on Professional plans and above.
