What it covers
Use record discussions in Goals and Contracts, with named decisions, accountable handovers, watchers and private or deliberately shared drafts.
Service and delivery
Keep decisions, handovers and working notes beside the record they concern.
How it works
A useful internal conversation explains a decision and stays beside the work. NovaSoft One provides a collaboration panel in Goals and Contracts for comments, decisions and handovers. A teammate can review the record, see who said what and continue from the recorded context. Decisions carry an explicit outcome; handovers name a colleague and can include a due date. Watching a record helps people follow its discussion without building a separate social feed. Access follows the underlying record, so mentioning someone does not grant them new access.

Published entries retain their original authorship. A correction adds a linked entry rather than rewriting the earlier statement. Working drafts remain private unless the author chooses to share them; a shared draft is read-only to other collaborators.
When to use it
A working path
Open the goal or contract and review its current status and existing discussion. Check the owner, relevant dates and earlier decisions so a new comment contributes context instead of repeating an unanswered question.
Write a comment, record a decision with its outcome, or create a handover to a colleague who can access the record. Keep the entry specific to the work and include the action or reasoning another person needs.
Watch the record when you need updates. Publish your prepared draft when it is ready, or add a correction if an earlier statement needs clarification. Notifications still follow each recipient’s current access and preferences.
Illustrative scenario
A contract owner records why a renewal draft needs a revised service scope, then hands the review to an eligible colleague. The colleague opens the contract and sees the decision beside its terms before adding the next update.
