Sound familiar?

Coordinate customer jobs, materials follow-ups and production handoffs.

Specifications change mid-quote

The quote goes out on the wrong drawing revision.

Materials hold up production

A job is accepted before anyone checks supplier lead times.

Quality issues lack a record

Complaints are handled by phone and forgotten.

How it works for manufacturing & fabrication

A typical week with the Manufacturing & fabrication setup. Every name below is exactly what you’ll see in the app.

  1. Enquiries arrive with the right details

Records are named the way you talk: customer contacts, customers and suppliers and production jobs. Each new production job has room for job reference, job quantity, unit of measure, drawing revision reference and required date. There are also fields for supplier lead time (days) on customers and suppliers.
  2. Production jobs move through your pipeline

    1. Enquiry received
    2. Specification review
    3. Quote prepared
    4. Materials check
    5. Production handoff
    6. Dispatch handoff
Drag each production job to the next stage on the board, with its value, owner and next step in view. New ones can start from ready-made templates: “Production enquiry” and “Material follow-up”.
  3. Quote it and win it

Build quotes from your price list with GST worked out, send them for acceptance and keep the accepted version on the production job.
  4. Customer contacts ask for help

    • Order enquiryQuestions about lead times, quantities or an existing order.Normal
    • Quality issueA customer reports a fault or non-conformance.High priority
    • Specification requestRequests for drawings, specs or technical details.Low
Each request gets an owner, a response target and a full history. Customer contacts can raise them by email or from their own portal.
  5. Reply in a click

Ready-made replies come with it: “Enquiry received” and “Issue closed”. Each one fills in the person’s first name and can be edited before it’s sent.
    Enquiry receivedHi Sam,

Thanks for getting in touch. We've received your enquiry and our team will come back to you with details.
  6. Follow-ups happen on their own

    • Follow up with a new customer contact. Create a next-day task linked to the new customer contact.
    • Qualify every new customer contact enquiry. Create an immediate high-priority task linked to the new customer contact enquiry and notify the team.
A worked example

From first contact to finished work

A customer sends a drawing. The job is Enquiry received, then Specification review with the drawing revision reference and quantity. At Quote prepared, a quote goes out; at Materials check the supplier lead time is recorded before Production handoff and Dispatch handoff. If a part arrives out of tolerance, it’s a Quality issue with an owner and an “Issue closed” reply when sorted.
